Welcome to Chaplin's World
THE MANOR : IN THE PRIVACY OF CHARLIE CHAPLIN
Like a 500m2 stage, the Manor is fully dedicated to Charlie Chaplin and his daily life in Switzerland. The tour shows his family life and aims to explain how he came to the Canton de Vaud, how he was received here, how he lived here the last 25 years of his life. Some of the Manor's rooms have been refurnished with his personal belongings.
THE STUDIO : WECOLME TO HOLLYWOOD !
The Studio, in a 1350m2 building, introduces the cinematographic world of the artist, actor and director. The tour starts with a montage of pictures tracing Chaplin's life and works, with 20th century history in the background. It goes on to a street, straight out of Easy Street, one of the most iconic stages of his films. Charlot is a city-dweller, he has always tried to showcase authentic set designs, which are both geographic and symbolic entities. The studio is hugely inspired by this.
TAKE A WALK IN THE PARK!
Stroll in the 4-hectares park with its centennial trees around the Manor.
