Maison de l'Etivaz - Film, 3D immersion and gallery

Description
Discover the cheese cellars in the village of L'Etivaz! This is where the precious hard cheese from the mountain pastures of L'Etivaz AOP is matured and preserved. It is made between May and October from raw milk supplied by more than 2,800 cows grazing on some 130 mountain pastures situated at an altitude of between 1,000 and 2,000 metres, heated exclusively over a wood fire in copper boilers.
Start your visit with the film presenting the Caves de l'Etivaz. You will learn all the secrets of making the famous alpine cheese. Then let yourself be guided through the galleries overlooking the alleys where the cheese wheels are carefully kept.
End your visit by meeting the Reynaud family and discovering their daily life thanks to virtual reality! Equipped with your VR glasses, teleport yourself to the alpine pasture of La Cluse during the summer season. Watch the whole cheese making process as if you were there!
